THE BOOK: Vedas are considered as an ocean of knowledge. Every bit of
Vedas is very important each stanza, each line, each word has a significant
meaning to it. For the language also supports its purpose. It is said that

The book Science in Veda deals with the combined approaches of modern science
and ancient Vedic science. As we know that Indian Scriptures and Sanskrit
literature is the storehouse of knowledge. As we go through this literature they
have innumerable illustrations of Science, technology, arts, music, dance,
environment, architecture, vehicles etc. The present book is an attempt to
explore the knowledge of science, penetrate the mystery of the Vedas and to
search out in them the various branches of Science. The book is divided into ten
chapters describing the importance of water as described in our vedic
literature.
ABOUT THE EDITOR: Prof. D.R. Khanna, Ph.D., FIAES, FASEA, FNC, FZSI, FSES is Professor in Department of Zoology and Environmental Science, Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyakaya, Haridwar. He is well known Limnologist and has published more than 100 research papers and articles in national and international journals of repute. He has edited 8 books and authored 10 books. In Vedic science he authored a book entitled "Yazna and Vayu Pradushan", one book entitled "Aquatic Science in Veda" is press and two edited books are also in press on Vedic Science. Prof. Khanna also handled a project entitled "Yazna & Its impacts on diabetes and respiratory disease. Prof. Khanna is Editor-in-Chief of Environment Conservation Journal and Associate Editor of various journals. He was awarded ASEA excellence award. Nature Conservators Impetus Gold medal and BharatJyoti Award.
